The Pedigree Stage Stop Race, which began Jan. 27 in Jackson, was slated to come through Pinedale Monday morning. The 9 a.m. start from Kendall Valley was initially postponed until 11 a.m. due to wind-chill and temperatures well below zero. Race Marshal Warren Palfrey made the difficult decision to cancel Monday’s stage with plans to run it on Thursday, pending weather and a permit from the U.S. Forest Service. The next stage, Big Piney-Marbleton, is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning at the Middle Piney Trailhead.
