Karson Bradley finishes top 10 at CNFR

CASPER – Big Piney High School alumna Karson Bradley, riding for the University of Wyoming rodeo team, took sixth place in barrel racing at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper.
Bradley entered the CNFR at the top of her game, earning the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s Central Rocky Mountain Regional Title in barrel racing following a phenomenal fall and spring season.
The weeklong CNFR featured three preliminary go-rounds culminating in the championship round on Saturday, June 19.
Bradley tallied up a cumulative score of 57.71 after four rounds.
“I was happy with how my horse worked,” said Bradley. “We had four consistent runs and placed sixth out of everyone.”
In the first go-round, Bradley clocked in at 14.34 seconds, followed by 14.42 seconds in the second go and 14.52 seconds in the third. Hitting the mark all week, Bradley qualified for the short go-round with 43.28 points after three runs.
On Saturday, Bradley tied for sixth place in the championship round, timing in at 14.43 seconds.
Bradley looks forward to competing in the pro circuit this summer.
“I will be running mainly in Colorado and Wyoming,” she said. “I run at Cheyenne (Frontier Days) in July and can’t wait to be back. I will also be running at a lot of other smaller pro rodeos in hopes of qualifying for the circuit finals again.”
