Four from Sublette chosen for UW Trustees' Scholars Award

SUBLETTE COUNTY – Jakobi Hibbert and Muriel Jones of Big Piney, and Hailey Jean and Reese Noble of Pinedale, were all named among 2021 Trustee’s Scholars Award winners by the University of Wyoming.

In total, 101 Wyoming high school seniors from 34 different high schools earned the university’s top academic scholarship. The scholarship for Wyoming resident high school seniors covers credit hours taken as well as room and board costs for eight semesters at the university, starting with the Fall 2021 semester.

Recipients were chosen based on high school GAP, ACT/SAT scores and curriculum rigor. Individual interviews were also conducted. This year the average GPA for honorees was 3.97 and the average ACT score was 32.

Students must maintain full-time continuous enrollment during fall and spring semesters while maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA in order to retain the scholarship all four years.
