PINEDALE – With less than a month before the personal mandate aspect of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) goes into effect, health and consumer groups are scrambling to get as much information to the public as possible. Wyoming-specific information has been hard to find since the Legislature voted to not run exchanges, not expand Medicare and not promote federal exchanges.
On Friday, though, the Wyoming Business Alliance and the Wyoming Heritage Foundation announced the launch of a new website hosted by Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Wyoming to answer questions from Wyomingites about the possible effects of the health care law in the Cowboy State.
Also last week, the Kaiser Family Foundation released its report on likely prices for plans across the nation. The report is based off 18 states, which doesn’t include Wyoming, and shows some of the variance in cost between both states and age cohorts.
