Mathew Adam Griffin, 21, of Rock Springs, passed away on Thursday, April 18 at his home.
He was born on June 25, 1991 in Jackson, the son of Jack and Lavena Griffin.
Mathew attended schools in Phoenix, Ariz. and was a Barry Goldwater High School graduate with the class of 2010.
He was employed by Halliburton Energy Services for the past year and a half as an operator assistant No. 1.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling.
Survivors include his father Jack Griffin and wife Amy of Rock Springs; mother Lavena Garland of Phoenix; sister Jessica Griffin of Rock Springs; paternal grandfather Phillip Edwin Griffin of Big Piney; maternal grandparents Jim and Beverly Coley, of Arizona, Milt and Edna Schilling, of Daniel, Ron Godfrey, of Tomahawk, Wisc.; maternal great-grandmother Lavena Dobbs of Big Piney; step-grandmother Marcella Romero of Rock Springs; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Jacie Griffin; step grandfather Roy Romero; maternal great-grandparents Edgar Holladay and Dorothy and Clarence Coley.
Funeral Services were conducted last week. Graveside services and interment were conducted at the Pinedale Cemetery.
