BIG PINEY – The Big Piney High School Punchers returned home from Riverton this weekend having accomplished something the school’s basketball team hadn’t managed since 2001. With wins against Wind River and Rocky Mountain high schools, the Punchers are headed to State.
The Punchers had two wins at Regionals and two losses, putting the team in fourth place for the west conference. With that seed, Big Piney will face the east’s No. 1 Big Horn High School on Thursday at noon. The Rams finished their regular season 8-1 in the conference.
