PINEDALE – Called by many the single most controversial bill of the 62nd Wyoming Legislature, House Bill (HB) 105 effectively died on Feb. 9 after a lengthy debate in the packed Senate Education Room in Cheyenne led the committee to take no action.
HB 105 would have allowed licensed concealed carry weapons permit holders to carry on school grounds. “School grounds” would have included any public school, community college and the University of Wyoming (UW). Concealed carry would have been allowed during typical school hours, as well as during sporting and community events.
