THERMOPOLIS – The Pinedale High School Wrangler wrestlers competed in the Thermopolis Bobcat Invitational over the weekend and came out with great individual and team results. As a team, the Wranglers placed eighth of 13 at the competition.
Individuals had strong performances as well; the Wranglers had two athletes competing for top spots at the tournament. Juniors Brett Butler and Klint Choate both finished in second place in their divisions.
Butler competed at 182 pounds, received a bye in his first match and pinned his second opponent from Columbus. In the championship match, Butler faced Dino Collins, a #1-ranked undefeated wrestler from Lovell. Collins is a favorite for the state championship later this year.
