PINEDALE – It’s an uphill battle for the Pinedale High School Wranglers’ basketball team as it started conference play with two tough losses against Mountain View and Lyman. The Wranglers hosted Mountain View at home Thursday evening and despite a good start, ended the game 34-60. In Lyman on Friday the Wranglers were handled, losing, 13-62.

At the Wrangler Gym Thursday night, the Pinedale boys got off to a hot start, jumping out to a 9-2 lead over the Mountain View Buffalos. In the second quarter, though, the Buffalos’ shooting heated up.

“Mountain View shot very well in the second quarter hitting three ‘threes’ and distanced themselves enough that we couldn’t make up the margin,” head coach Jeremy Qualls said in a report.
