Where’s the beef?
This is the first year in forty that I have missed the Bondurant barbecue and wouldn’t you know they ran in pigs instead of cows. I understand two of the little porkers weighed in at 1,365 pounds.
What a great disservice you have done to the wonderful, hard-working community of Bondurant.
Do you know this was the 72nd consecutive year the barbecue has been at St. Hubert the Hunter Church yard?
Do you know the beef has always been donated by local ranchers? This year, the donors were Little Jenny Ranch and Alice Brow Trust.
Do you know the Bondurant Community Club furnishes all the ingredients for salads, beans, drinks and sees to ground keeping and cleaning? The whole town and more turns out to put this together?
As a ranching community, it has survived over 100 years. We work extremely hard, play extremely hard and are extremely proud.
I feel you owe the community of Bondurant a sincere apology.
