PINEDALE – The Big Piney High School girls’ varsity basketball team broke its dry spell and won two games this past week. The Lady Punchers took on 1A Farson-Eden High School in the Puncher Gym on Tuesday and won 43-23. On Saturday, the team traveled to Saratoga and brought home another win with a final score of 44-36.
Head coach Jennie Kozeal was happy with her team’s performance.
“We played a solid week of basketball,” Kozeal said. “We scored when we needed to and we forced a lot of turnovers.”
The Lady Punchers played an aggressive defense against the Lady Pronghorns and stole the ball away 19 times. They made fast breaks, quick passes and outscored the opponent.
