BIG PINEY – The Big Piney High School Punchers were beaten in their penultimate game of the season, playing on the road last Friday night at Greybull High School. Though the Punchers were coming off two big wins in previous games, the Buffaloes would stop that streak as Big Piney fell short 20-33.

The Punchers play their final game of the season at home this Friday, against Lovell High School.

The road trip loss at Greybull sent the Punchers’ 2A West conference record to 2-4 and its overall record to 3-4. The team still has a chance to get into the State playoffs, but it will have to overcome No. 1 Lovell to do so.

Greybull moved to 3-3 in the conference, bettering its chances of claiming a top-four spot and a playoff berth. With both teams coming into last Friday night’s matchup with a 2-3 conference record, the Punchers and Buffaloes knew there was a lot on the line.
