PINEDALE – The Pinedale High School Wranglers football team got off to a hot start against Lyman High School at Friday night’s home game, but the Wranglers could not keep pace with the Eagles’ high-flying offense. After jumping out to a 13-0 lead in the second quarter, the Wranglers lost the game 13-32.

Pinedale plays its final game of the season this Friday, at home, against Hot Springs County High School.

The Wranglers’ loss sent its conference record to 2-4 and its overall record to 3-4. With just one game remaining, the Wranglers still have a shot at getting into the State playoffs.

Pinedale had a good chance to jump up in the 2A West conference standings against Lyman, but the Eagles were prepared for the test. The Wranglers were still without their regular starting quarterback, junior Brenden Lloyd, instead starting sophomore Jeff Connors.
