PINEDALE – The Pinedale High School Lady Wranglers soccer team headed to Worland to meet its Regionals opponent, Torrington High School, and hopefully find a way through to the state tournament. The Lady Wranglers were halted by the Lady Trailblazers, though, and forced to make an early exit from postseason play after a 7-2 loss.
As the game kicked off, the Lady Wranglers made it clear they meant business. They kept the ball in Torrington’s half and pressured the Lady Trailblazer defense with attacking runs and shots.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Lady Wranglers struggled to contain Torrington’s through-passes to the forwards. When the Lady Trailblazers received the threaded passes between Pinedale’s defenders, they were able to get in on goal and score.
