PINEDALE – A multitude of high school runners, jumpers and throwers converged on Green River to take part in a multi-conference track meet on Friday, and the Pinedale High School Wranglers and Lady Wranglers joined the fray to see where they stacked up against some of the state’s best.

In team scoring, the Wrangler boys placed sixth of 17 teams at the meet, narrowly beating out Lyman and Riverton high schools. The Lady Wranglers took eighth place in an 18-team field.

Senior Ryan Reed was the Wrangler throwers’ high scorer, placing in his two throwing events. Reed threw 41 feet, 7.25 inches in the shot put to earn second place, and he also threw 123-03.5 in the discus to take sixth.
