Peggy Raie Gaston, 77, of Marbleton, died March 18 at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 12, 1936, in Blanding, Utah, the daughter of Glenn Woodward and Bertha Seeley Woodward. She attended schools in Rawlins.
She married Willard Gaston in June 1953 in Saratoga. He preceded her in death.
She worked as manager of the Rawlins High School Cafeteria, owner of Peggy’s Pots and Ceramic Shop and caretaker at the Seminoe Boat Club in Rawlins.
She was a member of the Seminoe Boat Club, as well as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her interests were gardening, quilting, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She easily made friends wherever she was.
She will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her sons Kelly, of Rawlins, and Barry, of Kingman, Ariz.; daughters Glenna and husband Gordy of Rawlins and Wendy of Marbleton; brother Hugh Woodward, of Tacoma, Wash.; sister Myrna of Pflugerville, Texas; grandchildren Amber, Jenny Bryon, Nikki, Missy, Andrew, Devin, Zach, Brittany and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Ava, Eli, Korbin, Kyler, Carly, Sterling and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard, brother Morris and sister Shirley.
Cremation has taken place, and private family services will be held at a later date.
