Verna Costello, 93, passed away peacefully at South Lincoln Nursing Center in Kemmerer on Sept. 9.
She was raised on the family homestead near Sublette and spent her entire life in Frontier and Kemmerer. She was a self-taught artist especially known for her floral paintings.
She was married to Tony Costello for 55 years before he passed away in 1990. She was very devoted to her family and enjoyed any time spent with them.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Jason and a great grandson Cody.
Verna is survived by her sons, Roger (Sharon) of Kemmerer and Rick (Sharon) of Big Piney, as well as seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Rosary was recited Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Sept. 12 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Father Philip Vaske as the celebrant.
Interment will follow services at the South Lincoln Cemetery in Kemmerer.
Memorial donations may be made to the South Lincoln Nursing Center or to the Kemmerer Senior Center.
