Janice Marie Herzberg Norman, 58, of Rock Springs, Wyo., passed away following a battle with cancer over the last three years. A longtime resident of Rock Springs and former resident of Oregon, Mrs. Norman was born on April 18, 1954, in Josephine County, Ore., the daughter of the late Herbert Richard Herzberg and Helen Elaine Snively.
She married Kurt Douglas Norman in Virginia City, Nev., on May 1, 1989.
Mrs. Norman worked as a waitress for JB’s Restaurant for seven years and also worked for the Rocket Miner delivering papers for the past two years.
Her interests included animals, reading, word searches and outdoor activities; she loved flowers, plants and spending time with her family. People enjoyed her at JB’s and always asked to be seated in her section.
Survivors include her husband Kurt Douglas Norman of Rock Springs, Wyo.; one daughter Amber Norman of Rock Springs; one brother Jerry Herzberg of Oregon and one sister Gail Humphrey of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Following cremation at the Vase White Mountain Crematory a memorial service was held at the Green River First Assembly of God Church, 1380 Hitching Post Drive, Green River, Wyoming. Pastor Nate Bloomfield conducted the services.
