MARBLETON – Thursday, the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) approved $18,592,642 in Business Ready Community (BRC) grant and loan requests at its meeting in Cheyenne. The towns of Marbleton and Big Piney were the recipients of $250,000 and $1 million in grants, respectively, for community projects.
Big Piney/Marbleton Resource Consultant Sam Bixler told the Examiner the $250,000 grant awarded to Marbleton would be used to extend an existing waterline just north of town to Sleepy Hollow Industrial Park.
“There’s already a line running up toward the Sublette County Fairgrounds,” Bixler said. “This will cut across the highway and run it through the industrial park and back to town for a loop system.”
