PINEDALE – The town of Pinedale recently paid off $3,601,934.75 in loan debt for city water and sewer projects. The money used to pay off the loan was saved up from water rent, as well as general funds. Eugene Ninnie, the town engineer, explained in an interview, paying off the loan helps residents receive clean, safe and affordable water.
In order to meet state requirements, the town needed to put in two main water lines to ease transmission, as well as an ultraviolet disinfection water treatment facility.
“These lines were replaced at various locations. It’s generally where you see the new curb, gutter and sidewalk and new pavement on the streets,” Ninnie said.
