PINEDALE Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill has retained counsel and is threatening a lawsuit against members of the Wyoming Legislature for their role in writing and publishing a white paper defending Senate File (SF) 104, which reorganized the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) and created a WDE director position.
Attorney Robert DiLorenzo wrote a letter to Rep. Rosie Berger, who had disseminated the white paper on behalf of House Speaker Tom Lubnau, Majority Whip Tim Stubson and Minority Whip Mary Throne, the House leadership, accusing them of making defamatory and libelous accusations against Hill in the bi-partisan paper.
DiLorenzo asked the lawmakers to produce proof of their accusations or face all legal steps necessary to protect the reputation and integrity of our client.
