PINEDALE – With the departure of former executive director Sam Bixler last month, the Sublette Couny Economic Resource Council (SERC) has brought on Sublette County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Terrie Swift as interim administrator and is looking toward the future to increase economic diversification in the county.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, SERC is funded largely by the Sublette County Board of Commissioners, with additional contract funding coming from the towns of Pinedale, Big Piney and Marbleton.
Formed in 2009, SERC was developed to assist startup small businesses, facilitate countywide economic development opportunities, find and write grants, encourage entrepreneurs to bring their businesses to the county and promote sustainable job creation.
