BONDURANT – At approximately 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an injured backcountry skier in the Cliff Creek/ Cabin Creek area west of Bondurant.
During the course of the call, the subject was pronounced deceased by a physician who was part of the five-person ski group. Twenty-eight-year-old Elizabeth “Liza” Gray Benson of Jackson, Wyo., was swept downhill by a small avalanche/slide which carried her into the timber, striking a tree.
