WYOMING – The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR) has been the biggest sled dog race in the lower 48 states since it was founded in 1996.

Being the biggest can’t stop the event from growing even larger, however. This year, the 2013 IPSSSDR will, for the first time, participate in four states along the 10-day race’s stage-stop courses through all kinds of winter landscapes.

The race schedule is expanded from previous years to include a leg in West Yellowstone that will see racers cross from Montana into Idaho via a new stage stop. The bulk of the stage stops will be run in Wyoming and the final leg crosses briefly into Utah before returning to Evanston. The IPSSSDR is the only sled dog race with a course spanning four states.
