PINEDALE – White Pine Ski Resort opens both lifts for the winter season at 9 a.m. sharp on Thursday after fresh snowfall and a successful “dress rehearsal” Saturday.
“Recent snowfall has provided good snow cover from the lodge to the top of Great Spirit lift at 9,500 feet,” sales and marketing specialist Alan Blackburn said Monday.
“Following maintenance and personnel training exercises a ‘dress rehearsal’ soft opening took place Dec. 8 utilizing Little Spirit Lift,” Blackbirn said. “All systems went well and the owners, Citizens to Save White Pine LLC., took the decision to open fully from Thursday.”
The resort will be open Thursdays through Sundays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., every day except during the school holidays when it will open every day from Dec. 20 to Tuesday, Jan. 1. Torchlight parades and other activities are in the works.
